Susan is a graduate of Parson’s School of Design and has years of experience in the design world as a Designer, Decorating Editor, Photo Stylist and Set Decorator. Her art work is based on an unusual approach to composition, color and texture. Images are created by making specific selections from a multiple of original photos and adjusting color, shape, proportion and scale. These abstracted pieces are then digitally woven together to form distinctly graphic art prints. Her inspiration comes from the texture and patterns found in nature, decorative objects and man-made surfaces. Inlays, vintage fabrics, concrete walls, gravel, wood panels and marble are a few of the components in her designs.
“I have been fascinated with patterns since childhood and I’m inspired by all the pattern and texture I see around me every day. Working with raw image photos of surfaces, decorative motifs and natural materials takes this to another level. I love the process of creating a design out of unexpected elements.”
All images are giclee prints on acid free, fine art paper.
All prints are signed by the artist.
